Break My Stride Part II

"There is something proud and exalted about him, but also something incomprehensible and almost inhuman. Why in the world do all thee people, copyists and calculators, indeed even girls in the bloom of youth, go through the selfsame entryway into the selfsame building just in order to scribble away, try out pens, calculate and wave their arms about, study and blow their noses, sharpen pencils and carry papers about in their hands? Do they do so out of pleasure or under duress, and are they conscious of performing some sensible fruitful activity?"

-Robert Walser, The Tanners p. 65

Ante Up

Happy New Year! Did you look at all the top ten lists of the decade? Did M.O.P.'s "Ante Up" win every single one? I hope so. To prove the eternal relevance of that song, please watch the following two videos that I was encouraged to watch in the last couple days, the first on December 31st and the second on January 1st. Thank you Fred, thank you Nate....

GUILTY PLEASURES: WE'VE ALL GOT 'EM

This week I was served a harsh dose of reality that millions of others face each day: working at a soul crushing job. I was reminded of the daily fear and anxiety of younger days that I have since shed. When reason and logic become a rare commodity, it is then that we find it wherever we can. When I heard this on the radio on my way to work, I felt it so strongly, I knew everything was gonna be OK... Admittedly, watching this clip made me feel even more guilty about this song.

New Demo

"In Your Memory"

Visual genius Tara Sinn made a video for the song "In Your Memory" from our new EP. You can watch it now courtesy of The FADER. Also you can download the song from the friends at Impose.
