SILK FLOWERS SEA GLASS SOCIETY

After practice last weekend we went for a walk along South street to look for sea glass. Sea glass are pieces of glass that have been weathered by rocks and sand in the ocean. Essentially it's pollution but, they look like jewels. It's a great beach activity. For more information about the Silk Flowers Sea Glass Society and official society members badge please send S.A.S.E. to: S.F.S.G.S. 38 Market St. #3F NY, NY 10002.

SAVAGE LANDS: City's On Fire

A few weeks ago I came home to find the supermarket around the corner was on fire! It burned the entire building above it. Thankfully, no one died.

Aftermath.

Canal Street is home to many odd looking people.

PEOPLE!

People find some interesting ways of communicating. No doubt it can be tricky at times. In which case, it may be best to wait a day or so until things calm down before addressing a problem with someone. Anyone who has known me for long can vouch that I am no wizard with words. My mouth has proven to be large enough for my size 10 1/2 shoe to fit inside. However, I do my best not to communicate in this way. Although, these notes are quite hilarious!

Mixtape available

hey do you all know Brendan Fowler? Something he has been doing for years that makes me endlessly happy is taking screenshots of the internet and then using them as images. I am stealing this idea for the 2nd time:

Anyway, the image is from the Vice website, they've posted a mixtape that Avi and I made on April 20, 2009 while Peter was away. APRIL 20!!!! We had a lot of fun making it on a pretty crummy afternoon and I hope you guys like it.

CUT AND PASTE THE PIECES

Great news! Peter's back and we had our first practice in what seemed like a short lifetime. We were on a two month hiatus while he was on tour in Europe with USAISAMONSTER. I barely worked during that time. With the world the way it is right now, It seems like things are slow for all. I kept busy by making a series of collages, now up at the Cake Shop here in NY. I recommend that anyone with too much time do the same. Find a project to do and complete it. This economic slump could prove to be a good time for culture and creative endeavors. For a zine of these collages paypal $7 to ramtownusa@gmail.com.

Limited quantites available.

FREE MUSIC ARCHIVE

remember when we played on WFMU? Michael Goodstein is the best! Anyway, since that time, WFMU has set up this thing the Free Music Archive where you can listen to and download different tracks from them and dublab and a bunch of other amazing places. There is so much! I have been jamming the Cold Cave and So Cow and Billy Childish but I feel like I've barely scraped the surface. Like how Angels in America just ruined my day. Anyway, they've put our session from Choking on Cufflinks online, so you can hear it or even download the 8 songs we played. A lot of them aren't otherwise available until this July when the LP comes out......
